OUR MISSION STATEMENT

 The Sullivan County, Bluff City, Kingsport Animal Control Center is dedicated to providing the best possible care to lost and homeless animals.

We strive to end animal suffering and pet overpopulation in Sullivan County through progressive and proactive policies and programs including adoption, rescue, spay/neuter and responsible ownership education.

We endeavor to provide a safe and healthy community for both residents and animals through fair and compassionate, but firm enforcement of local, and State animal laws and ordinances.

In 2012, we focus on Adoption, Foster, Volunteers, Spay/Neuter!

On July 1, 2011 a brand new non-profit organization officially assumed the responsibilities of providing animal control services and operating both the Sullivan County Animal Shelter and the Kingsport Animal Shelter.

We are the Sullivan County, Bluff City, Kingsport Animal Control Center Inc. (SBK Animal Center for most purposes.) You will see improvements and changes coming at a rapid pace now as we focus on providing care for and finding good homes for the animals of Sullivan County.

Donations and Volunteers are going to play a big part in this transition and we encourage YOU to be a part of our mission.

  Pet of the Week 

            The featured pet this week is “Chopper”. This big boy is a Catahoula Leopard mix that is stunningly handsome and only about three years old. For a large dog, he is surprisingly calm and quiet.  He would love to have home and family to call his own. Chopper will steal your heart!
